WRNW Waste Management Facility | Whitemouth, Manitoba

POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a dependable, experienced heavy equipment operator who is willing and able to perform all operational duties. This is a hands-on, multi-duty position—not an equipment-only role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Safely operate skid steers, excavators, loaders and other authorized equipment. • Perform landfill operations, site upkeep, equipment checks and damage reporting. • Sort, bale, load and handle recycling; assist with waste and hazardous materials as trained. • Provide customer assistance, monitor incoming loads and direct traffic. • Complete general labour, cleaning, maintenance and required records. • Follow all safety policies, environmental requirements and supervisor directions.

REQUIREMENTS • Previous heavy equipment operating experience is REQUIRED. • Able to perform physical work outdoors year-round and switch between operational duties. • Reliable, safety-conscious, professional with customers and able to work as a team. • Landfill or recycling experience is an asset.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & TRAINING The successful applicant must pass the Landfill Operator Certification (LOC) examination within the first three (3) months of employment as a condition of continued employment. Additional required training may include WHMIS, TDG, equipment certification, First Aid/CPR and other safety or environmental courses. WRNW covers all required training, examination and certification costs.
